Only a couple of little bud vases today, I think the wood is eucalyptus of some sort but could be wrong.

Hi Phil, I used a bit of solid core copper wire. I'd watched a video on YouTube the other day (I think it was Mike Peace) and he showed how to do it. I'd tried before but never managed to burn the line, the tip was to make sure that a good amount of the wire was in contact with the wood.What did you burn the line with? Broken pieces of formica are good for that, and more controllable on a curved surface (although that's quite flat) than a wire.
