Last week I received a tool that I hope to soon put to good use. I know it is based off of the Poole and Williams Windsor Beader, but I'm not really able to find anything out about the original.

I'm the kind of guy who likes to know way more about something than he needs to. Google has really only produced a few images with brief captions, mostly just saying the image was a Windsor Beader. In my book, I call that a bust.

I figured a good source of information might be found in the UK, where the tool originated. Anyone have any information they'd care to share? Or know of someplace where I could find any information? Kevin Brennan included some nice user instructions, so that's not really what I'm looking for - I just wanted to find out any historical information about the beader, if it was available.

(Eh... to be honest with you, this is also a bit of a subtle, back-handed brag. :) )

It's not very subtle.

I suspect your best source is ... Kevin Brannan. I would find it inconceivable that he didn't have catalogue shots, dates etc.

He clearly loves these tools enough to make repros - I would bet good money he had a few originals and a lot of info well before the manufacture started.

To be honest with you, I don't think "subtle" has ever been used in a descriptive manner with me as the topic of conversation. Well, maybe in the negative...

You might be right about contacting Kevin, though, BB. Not sure why I didn't think of that before... blinded by the obvious? I'll give that a try.

Still, I'd be open for any other info anyone else might have to offer, as well.
