They are only dogs

That makes it OK then! We (tax payers) pay this mans wages.

Stew

No, no, no - whats wrong with you people?????? Whats with the selective quoting????

They are only dogs, therefore, you wouldn't expect a punishment that is applicable to the treatment of humans - would you?

I think the problem is that some people see dogs as people - my FIL refers to his German Sheperd as a "furry child"..... *****.

Cheers

Karl

my dog is a dog, its regarded as a part of the family, but he is a still a dog at the very bottom of the hierarchy, he is treated very well, he is fed and watered frequently and he comes to work with me to play in the yard and then he gets between an hour to 2 hours of walking a day, then double that each sat and sunday, us blokes get very attached to our dogs as unlike our wives if we lock them in a room for a few hours they will always be pleased to see us.

Stu - I think you are being very unreasonable the poor dogs boiled to death as they can't sweat!!! But I do agree that locking him up and throwing away the key is a bit strong - He should be sacked and his pension scrapped as well as spending 1 year in a tough jail!!

Hey Mark, I'm not questioning that it wasn't a good thing to do, just the massive over reaction.

it is an over reaction but an understandable one - As a dog owner I know that there is nothing more loyal to me than my dog, he never answers back, he does what he is told (most of the time) and he is great company. I understand the call for the big punishment, but i know its over the top.

anyway here he is

Lets put this to bed guys, what he did was very wrong and unforgivable, however if you take a look at my postings you will see that I never said he should be locked up!!! I said he should be sacked plain and simple and that whoever gave him a second chance should be demoted, if your going to question selective quotes than the least you can do is READ MY POSTS (properly) AGAIN.

Nobody suggested that you said the guy should be locked up, I was just adding context to your selective quote from my post.

I don't think I will READ YOUR POSTS AGAIN, they seemed to miss the point.

he stopped that a long time ago, I just have to stop him in the new workshop, if you ever come here doug, you will see small piles of sawdust and chippings in various places, don't stand in them!!

Thanks for clearing up sone of the facts Mike. Are you saying he got promoted as a result of the first incident?

I'm sure that I read they found this guy after a failed suicide attempt after the dogs died.

51 weeks seems like a long sentence to me. I squashed a fly once, should I get 51 weeks?

(hammer) No Stuart of course not, it was just tongue in cheek. Seriously though he did get promoted, but that was sometime after the first two dogs died in 2004

And yes they did find him after he slashed his wrist's.

Cheers

Mike
