Compost: you need x20 dry brown stuff for every x1 wet green stuff to make good compost fast..this is 1 reason why domestic kitchen scrap compost bins are very slow to work...& yes peeing on the heap is very common.
Smoking: with oak is ace (chicken, sausages, fish, ham etc) & easy - I gave a bag of mine to the near winner of Master Chef who loved it.. but a little goes a long way. Apple wood is good too.
Composting toilet: ..or else things get smelly. If you know an allotment with one - they'll love you & swap veg for it I bet..
Workshop stove: if you live outside of a city (smoke control area) there are models that burn sawdust & shavings as well as usual wood. I'd have 1 if I could.
