I am thinking of moving up from a kity planerthicknesser.
I have considered the Rojek in the Axminster cat, and the Felder.
Has anyone experience of these machines and how they find them?

I have the Rojek 415 MSP with Tersa knives, I haven't had it long, but so far it has performed well. The fence is not great but they never are. The finish is very good. As you would expect (it's the best priced machine with this capacity) it is a good solid workhorse. Replacement knives aren't too bad either at £50 a set.If you weren't so far away (I live in Shropshire)I'd be happy for you to come and take a look.

Which model Felder are you looking at, I have a AD7410, before that I had a Hammer A3-410 which was poor imho (to many problems) it took Felder over 3 months to resolve.

The AD7410 is a class act, but if your a pro woodworker walk away from Felder as their customer service is extremely poor.

I have a combined planer/thicknesser - Bernardo ADM 320.

I think the Record machine is the same thing, it's just a labeling thing. Might be different tolerances etc. This machine is apparently done in Europe somewhere (Bulgaria?), definitely better than some of the machines from China I've seen. But, not top of the line either.

I was looking at the Rojekmsp310m and the entery level Felder.
( But the jetjpt 310 seems to be in the same sort of bracket?)
The kity I have only has a short fence, and always needs resetting or checking to maintain 90deg.
So the fence is important.
I keep looking at the sedgewick MB, but the price scares me....but it's acast iron fence and I believe still UK made.
I found a post called, 'my felder' on Google...just try it as I don't know how to put an web page on here, he has some horrific photos of the poor workmanship of his machine.......
The top and bottom is I want a 12" planer width without breaking the bank but having decent quality and service .
Am I any better looking at schepach??

Mike
