Hi Folks, been lurking awhile but now have another newbie question.
I have been given a Stanley Plane and i am looking for the spares ie a knob and some screws and a plate with the little metal lug on as the one I have has been broken at the blade end.
Thanks
Colin.

Colin,
What plane is it please?
I have several boxes of spares as I sometimes buy the odd plane or two. :p
Would be happy to help you out if I can.
Regards,
Martin

It is a Stanley No4 1/2 c.1940's?
The bit that goes on last with the Cam? is all chipped away at the bottom and there is the wooden knob missing I thinks as the plane is in bits it needs the long screw that keeps the last bit in place.
Cheers
Colin

Car boot sales are often a good source of old planes that can be used as donors. There is also Ebay, I have bought most of my planes there, but you often end up paying more for postage than for the item.
