Local 'bric-a-brac store has this plane. Now I dont know or not if its a Spiers of Ayr, theres no id on it anywhere.
No makers marks on the iron or anywhere for that matter. Also not sure if its worth anything as the brass blade clamp is bent, or rather skewed slightly so it wouldnt rest flat on the blade.
Its about the length of a No5, and quite a wide mouth.
I dont think the chip breaker is original

Ive a couple more pics, took them on the phone and im pretty pants with these smart phone things. takes me time to work out how to upload things :/

Looks user made/finished to me .
Rear handle has a nice look to it .
The iron assembly is possibly a manufactured product, it looks parallel from the picture.
It's going to take a bit of inventive dabbling to get the lever cap to where it should be.
It's got potential but not at £95
