Plane direct from Lee Valley

After contracting Plane Fever at Yandles Show in April,

The cure arrived a week ago in the shape of a Veritas B-U Jointer & Fence
This looks a real beauty but I have not had the chance to try it out yet

I followed Wakas advice and ordered direct as I wasn't in a hurry it took 6 weeks by surface mail and including the carriage and customs charges came to just under £214 and the price here is £300 inc fence IMHO well worth the wait

Take no notice of Philly, he's just jealous.

You'll be impressed when you put it to the test. Now if you haven't got the BU Jack and smoother you need to put these on your list.

Thanks for that but I have the standard #4 which I am very pleased with,

but the list is always open in case, you never know,

I will let you know how I get on with the jointer

I did this same thing myself, good isnt it. I also ordered a higher angle blade to go with it.
It has rapidly become one of my favorite planes.
