If you have a scroll wheel on your mouse ( or the +/- buttons on your keyboard), press Ctrl and scroll with your mouse wheel. It wont enhance quality of course but its a quick way of enlarging page size.
Also works fine for me in Chrome btw

I use it all the time, my photos are 640 x 480 because I have thousands of them on a harddrive and only use them on the internet.

In the area of my disk where I've kept photographs from my various digital cameras
over the years, I have 4729 photos, and the smallest ones are 1600x1200

It's around 20Gb

Disk space is cheap these days.

Mine total just over 1 terabyte with double that of video files. I have been using digital since 1995 I never print photos so only need them big enough to fill a computer screen and 640 x 480 is ample for that.

You have a terabyte of 640x480px pictures? BMPs maybe? Not jpgs surely. Even uncompressed that'd be over 800,000 images.
