Phil Irons coloured hollow forms

I visited an independent art gallery in Stratford Upon Avon (Montpellier gallery) and was pleased to see they have some very nice coloured hollow forms by Phil Irons.

I was also pleased to see that they have a proper price tag. A nice piece was £240. I wish i'd had my camera - lovely work though.

He does turn out some lovely work and is worth seeing as a demonstrator. I've got his 2 in 1 wood-turning book http://www.philironswoodturning.co.uk/s ... ductID=139 and learnt a lot from it. It's quite clever in that you can have a page open showing the technique as well as another page showing the project. I'm surprised more DIY books haven't taken up this format.

Phil Irons is appearing at Gloiucestershire Association of Woodturners (http://www.gaw.org.uk) in January. You can attend as a visitor for a few quid (and join the club if you like it).
