Hi,

Here's a couple of ones I have done recently the first one is end grain Bubinga, not an easy one to do loads of sanding through the grades to get a scratch free finish. the other one is Thuya burr in a pillow shape. Both about 50mm across.

So if you have time before Xmas knock one up for the wife etc.

Think the Thuya burr in a pillow shape is the one that would go down
well with my wife..
Went looking for a small blank but no luck..lol

Hi, hog&bodge

Do you want me to send you a sutable sized piece?

Pete

Pete.

They are both very impressive but being a bit of a thicky I would like to know how you got the colouring in the first piece and ended up with the contrast you have.

Once again, they are both beautiful.

Regards

John

I didn't see faces until you said... now I see lots of them. The first I saw is below the hole. Go from 5 o'clock on the hole and you will hit the mouth, the face is lying on it's side.

I need to get some sleep.

Hi,

Its just human nature to recognise faces it’s a survival thing.

Its just the grain of the wood no magic involved.
