Been slowly plodding on with this bench, have loads of photos but to be honest the quality of work is not something I'm proud of but i've made it so im happy. I really happy with the planes now, still get a bit of tear out but its getting better. I REALLY struggle with sawing straight 
(must be the saw lol) so many cuts not straight, ignore the ends as I'm going to sand them flat when I'm done to tidy up xD
Currently trying to decide how to mount the vices, flush or protruding... If protruding as Paul Sellers does I cant get two of the bolts in :shock:

Finished!! Not the best finish, I learnt how to manage the tear out much better by the end and intend on going over the lot next year but I've enjoyed using it already. I didn't refurb the vises, just cleaned them up and lubed them and their awesome. Very pleased... Now back to turning for now lol
