Parkside surface planer

I'm thinking about getting one of these, not for work just for playing around with for hobby etc.

Any Parkside tools I've previously had were more than good value FOR THE MONEY.

The ad doesn't give any dimensions or power rating.

So if anyone has the details I'd appreciate them.

Opinions also welcome.

Looks like you are getting much better stuff than we are!

I bought a very similar looking ferrex one from Aldi a few years back, fence is a bit flimsy and it's VERY NOISY.
That said the ability to have the timber the thickness I want for a project is worth every penny and at least if there's a problem with it you've got somewhere to get a refund

Looks like the Screwfix Titan one with a different badge.

The Screwfix one is garbage. I Frankensteined it with a homemade fence and locked the infeed with a bolt because it was too wobbly and would plane a bow in to my pieces. It was a complete waste of time and now I can’t sell it because it’s full of holes. I’m going to completely take it apart one day and see if I can rebuilt it better.. The thicknesser is fine though.

I’d avoid. Save up and get something decent.

Sounds similar to my experience with the very similar erbauer machine. Piece of junk.
