Panelling an old boiler room

Had to have a new exterior boiler installed this year leaving a 1.5mtr square room to be converted into a cloakroom/ storage room. The walls are a mess so need to panel but was unsure which way to go t&g solid wood or mdf. The room is unheated and windowless. Quite like the look of this panelling but unsure how it was achieved . Any insights would be appreciated.

The plastic wall panels are very popular nowadays and quite easy to fit . Obviously the costs can vary but so can the quality. If you want a real wood effect try a company called I believe the wood vaneer company

The accu panels are expensive but nice - 20% off atm
 
I had to make some Bead and Butt panelling out of MDF a while ago and asked a similar question, link here with a few different solutions mentioned
