Painted study with 5 meter oak worktops

Hi guys,
One of our latest projects, a study, filing cabinet drawers on the left and bookcases and storage on the right.
The worktops are 5m long, made up from oak veneers and joined using staggered joints.
Still in the primed finish, painted on site in the next few weeks.
There is also up lighting over the bookcases.

Those nickel library strips.... Really like the thought of routing a groove instead of drilling holes 8) ...... but the cost of them :shock:

what kind of finishing did you do on the worktop?

The worktop finish is an ac lacquer, 10% sheen.
No pictures of the joints I'm afraid
