Building 4 more beehive brood boxes.


Each side panel consists of 2 planks joined with dowels.

This is a long side and gets 7 dowels.

The dowels are drilled one from each side giving a stronger join.

The Hegner Polycut is used to cut out the entrance and also the box joints.

But, I think the saw needs a new blade ……..

Box joints cut out on the front panel.

I did try make a box joint jig for the table saw, dismal failure.

It is quite fast cutting on the Hegner and requires very little sanding for the fit.

That blade looks fine maybe better condition than many new blades thesedays

It has seen lots of cuts

I am not sure how to get rid of the duplicate fotos.

Just goes to show one of the many "non-scroll saw jobs" that a scroll saw can do - often quicker & easier too.

I once saw somebody using a scroll saw to shake a tin of paint
