I have a makita which is in use on a nearly daily basis and the only discs that it throws are the cheapies that I bought in bulk from amazon.
The abrasives that I use most are SIA and have never fallen off!

Another Makita disciple here. Used to have a Bosch PEX 300AE, lasted for about 6 years, until it burnt out.

I loaned it out, to the wrong person. Useful items from the Bosch is the hose attachment, and the disk alignment tool.

I kept the sanding pad, too as that was a new replacement.

I have a Triton which has worked hard and well for a number of years. The Velcro on the pad is starting to lift but I may just stick it back with contact adhesive.
