I've been firing out 3mm ply Christmas ornaments to get practice, and thought it was time to be a bit more ambitious.

This is my latest work and I'm pretty chuffed with it. It is 3/4" Oak so took a bit of cutting and I broke a blade and wore out a couple.

I know how you feel. I am in 1 level higher than you but i have my scroll saw now more than 6 months. Last month i practice every night for 2-3 hour per day but now i am working in my job 10-12 hours per day. Next free time for scrolling will be in January

I do not break the blades a lot - i have more problem that they get lose from bottom clip.
I know that for Oak that thick you need to have good tention and correct blade ( blade for plywood is not good )

Best Regards
Blaz
