Can anyone from Yorks tell me where our nearest suppliers of woodworking powertools is I would be most grateful

other than the big orange shed etc that is

A1 powertools in Brighouse are good. DB Keighley's in Stanningley are also worth a shot. I generally get them mail order - using Ebay as a good guide for price.

If you don,t mind traveling a bit farther, John Bodys
in Boroughbridge is not bad for tools but first class for
all sorts of timbers.

ASK tools is very good, and helpful. Snainton Woodworking is OK - good for turning stuff especially.

I think Boddy's is expensive and overrated - for tools and timber.

I have bought a lot more on-line ... Axminster & Workshop Heaven have been rapid and excellent suppliers every time.
