Oil painting canvas cabinet

Hi all,
This took months n months to complete.
Firstly, the research and making mistakes was part and parcel for me.
This as the title says it started from an idea with my sister (who is an artist).
And took off from there.
The first hurdle was buying wood that was utterly rubbish! TBH.

so I went to another place, redwood pine.
most of the wood wasn't flat or smooth.

but got it best I can, using block plane,then power planer.

Gluing up was a learning experience I can tell you :lol:
Ended up making adaptions for most tasks, (as in my YouTube channel- Bri D.)

Assembly was a laugh, but managed at the end.

You all know the rest lol, so look at the final product!!

I really enjoy the whole experience, and as I said learnt so much.

One of the things I like about work in progress photos is seeing other peoples jigs and approaches. Really like the simple wonderpup type board clamp.
