Straight off of the lathe. I rough turned this Oak blank a while ago and it promptly split so I left it in the pile and came across it and decided to repair the split and make a feature of it, there are also some other splits.
I think I need to work on the butterfly fits :oops:
It measures 9" X 1 3/4" and is finished with Chestnut sander sealer then satin top coat finally a rub over with some woodwax22

I like it. I especially like the graduated size of the butterflies - a really nice and well thought out design detail.
