Hi all just thought you might like to see what I've been up to, Just made this Bookcase in Oak veneered MDF it is 5.1m long and stands 2.575m high, as it had to go up a very narrow winding staircase it had to be compleatly dismantled to deliver it.

Hi Paul, thanks.
As you may be able to see in the photos, the house has a very modern finish while its filled with antiques so I was aiming to fit in with both traditional and modern.

Its finished with two coats of 30% sheen AC lacquer with a spot of golden Oak spirit stain in the first coat, just to tone it up a bit, like an old oil varnish or french polish would. I prefer AC lacquer as it dries hard so quickly I can sometimes do both coats on both sides in one day and work on it again the next day.
