I used the other side of the ash crotch and decided to try going for a matching pair. So after a spot of measuring and being very, very careful I actually managed to do it :D This is the first matching pair of anything I've managed to do.

Just seen this on your slideshow JT - I think its brilliant.

Apart from liking the workmanship, finish and design etc, my hat goes off to anyone who can do duplicates. :eek:ccasion5:

Still trying

Well done JT, certainly a unique composition, just waiting till you get a request for two more the same from someone.

Wow JT, now you are just showing off :D That's a super pair you've made - and having done a few very simple duplicates myslef (boxes and tea-light holders) I know how hard they are to do.

That's a cracking pair JT
Pit they weren't split on the bandsaw as they wouldn't have lost so much of the same grain pattern.
Still both very nice though :D

Thanks everyone, I'm quite proud of these :D

Sadly I haven't got one Paul  Just the trustly old chainsaw......

Cheers JT

Thanks Mike and Duncan, the first was just a bit of an experiment to see if a completely flat bowl would work, it did(IMHO) and I think making the matching pair added so much more to the whole idea.
