I am putting together a table of timber yards, with information from members who have actually visited the yards. Can you PLEASE HELP with information about Interesting Timbers (Emborough, Wells ) for timber/blanks?

(To VIEW the full list of yards click here)

(To ADD a new yard/s please post here after checking that it is not already in the table.)

Are they hobby friendly?

Can you self-select or is it by appointment?

Will they deliver?

Do they have online ordering?

Are prices displayed at the yard?

Do they sell domestic hardwoods?

Do they sell other hardwoods?

Do they sell softwoods?

Do they sell manufactured boards?

Do they sell turning blanks?

Are they a one-man-band or a small, medium or large yard?

Will they cut to length to fit in your vehicle?

Do you have any comments?

Thanks for your help,
Neil

Are they hobby friendly? Yes

Can you self-select or is it by appointment? By appointment. My order was placed online and ready for collection when I got there.

Will they deliver? Yes

Do they have online ordering? Yes, by e-mail or telephone

Are prices displayed at the yard? No. All shown on their website.

Do they sell domestic hardwoods? Yes.

Do they sell other hardwoods? No.

Do they sell softwoods? Some.

Do they sell manufactured boards? No.

Do they sell turning blanks? Yes.

Are they a one-man-band or a small, medium or large yard? Small, family owned, sawmill.

Will they cut to length to fit in your vehicle? Yes.

Do you have any comments? As no one else has responded so far, I'll say what I know based on my limited experience as a result of several trips some years' ago. They were very friendly. The yard is out in the countryside and, when I visited, the office was a Portacabin and the car park was a bit muddy. There's a lot of information on their website.

Thanks for your help,

Neil
