With that caveat, the below is a link to a PDF document hosted by Lost Art Press (Chris Schwarz's publishing company) which is a comparative chart of different sharpening media and how they compare to micron sizes. I have never managed to understand the different terminology, so I think I will find this very helpful and hope that some of you will too.
