Hello 👋

Cabinet maker here, wondering if anyone has a catch for an internal drawer that’s nicer than the standard Blum offering?

It keeps the internal drawer attached to the main drawer front and can be disengaged by pressing down on its “button”.

It feels like there should be some more options out there, but I’ve never managed to find anything!

I’d love something simple made of brass that would look at home in a quality, handmade wooden kitchen.

Thanks in advance for any ideas!

Thanks Alex. That’s close to the mark, but the orientation of that mechanism means it wouldn’t quite work in this scenario.

I quickly sketched out a fantasy piece of hardware below that would get the job done (scale completely screwed up)…can’t seem to find a real life version though!

Interesting, hadn’t ever thought about this. How about a push to open catch fitted at the front instead of the back?
Or just magnets to hold it till you want to slide it back, then a ring or similar to pull it backwards?
