It's a CarveWright. They are soley intended as carving machines. Available only on the American market. I got mine cheap of someone in the UK who wanted rid of it. It's a little temperamental and isn't anywhere near as versatile as a proper CNC, but with a few tricks and hack, I think it will be an interesting toy. Hopefully if things go well then at some point in the future I'll upgrade to a proper (small) CNC. With my health issues, it means I can do something worthwhile on the computer when I'm not in the workshop. If I earn a bit of pocket money, cool. If not then I'm not fussed. Although I'll only upgrade to a proper CNC if I think I can make some sort of business out of it. It's a competitive market. Obviously the big boys can knock out stuff like this much quick than I can.
