Newbie from the wirral

Hi all, my name is Lee and I'm a hobbyist wood worker. I have a small workshop in my cellar and the main reason I found your forum is I have recently acquired an extremely old but very functional band saw and was looking for some help. But reading through the posts I have a feeling I will get a lot of advice and help on my journey through Woodworking now I've retired.

I found out today its manufacture date is 1957-1959.

Once I've got a few things sorted I will take a few more pics.
I now know it uses 1/2" blades, it has a 7" cut depth and a 14" throat. I've not opened the wheel housing yet but I'm assuming it's a 14".
I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew lol. I'm only a hobbyist
