It should be, and will be, but currently it has more gaps round the edges that sealed bits!! I’ve got a tin of crazy foam and some frame sealant to sort it out this weekend.

How about using opened up and flattened tin can as shims to raise the mitre saw

First set if cupboards are in, doors the go on later today and a few more shelves. Second set will be done over the weekend.

Really like the simple way you’ve made those osb shelves with battens screwed to the uprights and shelves sitting on top. Think I was overthinking when I made some shelves for my garage when I was routing housings for the shelves to sit in, dust everywhere too!

Thanks Pete, I wanted the shelves to be easy to reposition in the future and screwed battens seemed the easiest way to do that. The doors are equally simple as well. Can’t decide whether to leave them as is or to give them a coat of varnish?

I used OSB for the floor of my workshop and varnished it, really brings out the colour, I would definitely do the cupboards.
Just thinking you might need a length of timber up and down the doors to keep them flat, you could use it as a handle?

Cheers cabinetman. Did you use any specific varnish?

It was Johnstone’s water based poly floor varnish, but their non floor one would be better for your cupboards.
The floor varnish lasted for years with me and heavy Equipment shuffling over it.

The plan was three hinges, but I ran out of hinges so went for 2! Have some more on order as the doors are all coming off again to get some edge banding on the handle side, so I’ll install them at the same time.

There is method in the madness!! It is easier to move on and off when the text is upside down as your fingers can grab onto the ridge that runs along the back edge, rather than having to try and grab the thin cutting side. Aesthetically troubling I grant you, but saves a valuable couple of seconds!

Just a thought - consider painting the walls and ceiling white before you do the fit out - it will improve the quality of lighting massively.

Fully endorse this. Massively regret not doing this in my space and now its a pain to try remedy.
