Glastonbury, not in a tent though!
Lyndhurst, definition- a bit dodgy, unreliable, example-my bandsaw is a bit Lydhurst.

Holtey, definition- as good as it gets, example- the joints you have cut are Holtey.

Nielsen, definition- nearly spot on, example- those joints you cut are Nielsen, good considering how many you had to cut.

Blackspur, definition- rubbish, example- those are Blackspur joints, throw them away and start again.

Can anyone think of any more?

Regards, Mark w

I don't know about new but the one's i like are:

Fill your boots. meaning get on with it!

What ever blows your hair back. Be free and creative and enjoy the experience.

There is a difference between scratching your ar5e and tearing the skin off

translates to "moderation in all things"

Bob

"Blue Spruce!" (disambiguation of "Bridge City!") - an exclamation of admiration for a solution that is overly elaborate for the task but none the less, highly desirable

To err is human, to really f*ck it up is wizer.

To Rutland = "we had a deal but he did a Rutland on me"

Beat me to it - my definition included the phrase " a steaming pile of rutland" :D

One ive already been using (in honour of rob and his fossil table) - to woodbloke , to completely loose it when a tool, project or whatever fails to function and to take violent retribution on it

as in " The project was really getting on my wick so I like totally woodbloked, and its now only fit for firewood" ;)

also to moose - to bodge a project up using glue and clamps instead of doing it propperly " I really couldnt be bothered cutting all those dovetals so i moosed it instead"

A 'Rob' - the deliberate destruction of a job using the machinery of choice after it's been totally Wizered - Rob

IKEA

As in "I have just IKEAd the library'

Meaning "I know that they are only Billy Bookcases, but by Christmas I will have replaced them with a pair of handmade breakfront cabinets in best Honduras mahogany...... Honest!"

or Woodfit

As in "That's a Woodfit job .

Meaning "That would fit if you had made a better job of it"

"He's a Woodmagnet" - Some-one who collects
lot's of wood.

Just bought this little runabout at IKEA - I'm enjoying being a grandad!
