But not yet on website. Rang up today to enquire as to progress, to find it is now ready, so presumably will soon be on website. Mine is now in the post, complete with 2 of the new ali fences.
The l/h mitre box cheek attaches to the new fence via its (fence's)T slot, and provides a rigid mounting point, and also a rigid fixing for an outboard jaw screw. The r/h cheek fits in the carriage's big T slot as before, like the camclamp r/h jaw. It fits and removes quickly and holds work horizontally or at an angle, firmly. It goes most of the way regarding horizontal workholding, but you'd still need Alf's table or similar for larger items.
The T slot in the new fence allows for the easy fitting/removal of bespoke jaws or facings. TEMPORARILY (please note at Woodrat) for heavier work the facing could carry anti rattle shimming or nylon adjuster screws.
Re 48" Woodrat posting and comment above, the prototype woodrats were all wood, so maybe we should all make our own HD rails for another bit of wall (?) and just swap the plate over for big jobs?
