They're on a ship as I type, but they had demo tools there...

A new ripcut/dovetail saw at 20TPI.
A new crosscut saw at 16TPI.

Both at show prices of £40 each.
They are styled just as for the current dovetail saw (14TPI). Both are a joy to use and a bargain, so I had to have them :)

Hopefully I'll get them in a month or so.

I've had a play with the 20 tpi dovetail saw. My initial experience is that is is really, really excellent.

I have done a bunch of test cuts against its 15 tpi sibling as well as an LN, and Wenzloff-sharpened IT dovetail saws on 3/4" Tasmanian Oak and Jarrah. The 20 tpi is not designed to cut wood this thick. It is designed for 1/4" boards. Yet it more than held its own in the thicker wood, cutting almost as fast at the larger toothed saws. Of course, it is much more gentle than the others in the thinner stuff.

Full review in a few weeks.

Regards from Perth

Derek
