Well Mike and Martin together you have sorted out my new saw thanks. I installed the new piece today and it works fine. I should rephrase that, it is an awesome machine! Replacing the pin was much harder than removing it as it was pretty tight. I ended up making a tool from an old bolt and a threaded plate which I installed between the casting and the end of the pin and wound it the final bit. My tools are out on a job at the moment but when I get them back I am going to check all the settings to make sure it is accurate. I couldn't belive the cut from the standard blade as the timber felt like it had been planed! :D Well worth the money I think. :D Thanks again for all your help guys.

Yes Mike it was the series 40 blade. I was surprised to find it needed a bushing though. Mind you it means that you can use the readily available 12" 30mm bore blades I suppose?

Oh and by the way Mike you were right about the accessories I looked them up. I can get the mitre stand for £116 and the laser is 48.50 plus postage so the total packeage would cost me just a tad over £600! not a bad deal at all. Next month I think. :D

what the h*ll, I have just been paid for a couple of jobs and it more than covers the price of the laser and stand so I have ordered them! but for God's sake DON'T TELL SWMBO or I will not get chance to use them. It means I got the whole lot for £610.84! not bad eh? :D

Now Mailee your just being a flash git, and I am afraid I am going to have to tell your Mrs Mailee, unless of course you can cross my palm with silver, or maybe a nice Lie Nielsen

Nice one mate you will not regret it

Let me know what you think when you get it all set up.

Cheers

Mike

Well the stand and laser arrived yesterday and I have been playing around setting it up. In the brochure it stated that the stand was made from lightweight aluminium for portability and after heaving it around I can only assume it is for a man with the strength of Hercules! As for the laser guide it took a bit of fiddling to get it mounted as they don't leave much room for the wiring and plugs. I thought I had trapped the wires at first as it seemed hard to locate the top cover of the switch assembly but it is working fine now. I still have to set up the saw and laser but ran out of time today so will have another go tomorrow. Still a good piece of kit at a good price and I am sure I will have a lot of work for it in the future.
