Can't advise on the Axi one, but I can definitely recommend you steer clear of the clarke range! I have one and it is a bag of nails!

Thanks for the heads-up!

I have also seen the Titan SF13N with £10 off on the Screwfix website. Again, anyone had any experience?

I'm looking for a hobby pillar drill (maybe the Axminster WD13S). Anyone got one, or had a play with one?

I've still got my old ND12 though I don't use it having recently obtained an old Fobco. The ND12 looks like the forerunner of the WD135. It's 'OK' - a bit of quill movement when at full extension, though I've never had problems with oversized or oval holes being drilled. Power is adquate for normal drilling work, but struggles with holesaws and larger drills into oak - you have to keep clearing chippings. If you're anywhere near Chichester you're welcome to come and 'have a play'.

Sadly, I'm not near you, but many thanks for the info. I reckon I'll give the Axminster a go. Just need payday to hurry up, now!
