And who's fault is that, I wonder?
No ones at fault, it is just that we are now trying to punch above our weight and live a lifestyle that our economy cannot support. We are now a ship with no rudder, a moped engine and a captain who is just a figurehead so can we really expect to have much influence over EU decisions. I suppose if we have to lay blame then it is the consumers who have embraced cheap products from the east and we are all guilty of that one.

Can we try and get over this EU / Brexit thing as it is now history like the battle of Hastings and things have moved on since.

You are probably right @MikeJhn but it does not have to be, it is how we are behaving as a country that is fixing our fate and rather than embrace other countries who could really boost our situation we are going out of our way to allienate them. Who would have thought that the UK would openly support genocide in the middle east, that does nothing for your credability and you would have thought that the cold war would have highlighted the stupidity of friction but now we are treating China as the enemy rather than working with them to deliver the technology we all need to save the planet. We would all benefit from working with the east and being a closer partner / freind that would boost our economy and would probably allow us to get higher quality products for the same price rather than worry anout the EU and some notion of a common battery platform, having China onboard may give us the say we are currently without.

...the one thing the EU is good at is in not agreeing with each other and thinking they have power over others, no lets not stiffle inovation.

It used to cost £60+ to buy a charger for a Macbook using their proprietary connector. We 'stifled their innovation', and now a £5 charger works just as well.

The EU not agreeing on everything isn't a problem.

Nothing to do with brexit but unfortunately many EU decisions will impact us without any input from us, so we are now just sheep.

Also known as the 'consequences of our actions'.

The European Union has adopted a right-to-repair directive that will make it easier for consumers to get their devices fixed. The new rules extend a product's guarantee if it breaks under warranty, while obliging manufacturers to repair devices no longer covered. The law still needs to be approved by member nations.

Under the sales of goods act gives you 7 years guarantee anyway. After the manufacturers guarantee period it is on the supplier to repair your goods. Used this several times and Trading Standards.

It was an April Fools joke.
They do one every year.
I think the give away was when they mentioned the skid plate marking as a Skid Mark. Who unless it was April Fools would call it a SKID MARK !
They even said pay attention to the launch date of 1st April.
