new Cascamite

I have only just seen that Cascamite has a new manufacturer.
Has anyone used the new product?
Problems eliminated?
I have been using Semforite but I can't get used to the grainy texture.

I would love to know if its been fixed as I would go back to using it, probably, as Semforite is mail-order where Cascamiite is stocked locally, but I suspect many here have found useful alternatives.

I buy Semforite too but I can't get used to the fact that it is like a colloid rather than a smooth liquid. It looks like small grains in suspension.

Ive used from Ureka and it seems to be back to the old cascamite theres also a youtuber Wallybois who thinks its ok too.

I have not used or seen it, but Ureka is a new name for an old company who are very well respected and knowable on adhesives. Worth taking a look I would say.

I've used the Polyvine Cascamite without any problems, I didn't realise it was manufactured by any other company.

No, this was Polyvine- how new is Ureka and is it different? If so, apologies to Ureka!

I got mine in Feb was originally after aerolite but was told that had recently gone downhill and to try new cascamite so far so good

HI, We have tested the new formulation and can confirm.......its great! and works as it should. Mixes great, just like it did before it went down hill. We highly recommend trying out the new formulation to see for yourselves

I have used nearly 500g now and it seems to be back to Normal. I'm happy because I never got on with Semforite.

Polyvine ruined the reputation of a great product and robbed me as a customer, I don’t trust any of their products.

Look at the other thread and get a free sample. It says use within a year of manufacture - if stored for longer make test joint first, but it doesn't give a date just a batch number.

I don't believe they are in any way connected, look at their website they have a long list of specialist products. I believe shelf life is a year.

you can always msg them and ask when the batch was made.
