Hi Steve and welcome

Nice to have another member in the Leicester area (quite a few of us now), and good luck with your venture

Thanks guys.

Last time I saw him he'd packed it in to become a furniture restorer. Compared to riding a Harley thats probably quite a fast paced lifestyle.

They don't seem to 'ride' Harleys. They seem to be sitting in them; like the Gold-Wing,!

I recall a friend of mine riding his Gold Wing from Nottingham to Coventry, in pouring rain. The only bit of him that got wet was the top of his helmet. :)

I used to ride a big Kwak BW but got fed up with risking a hernia picking it up.
As I suffer from 'Duck's Disease', 5ft 8, I used to have to find a kerb to get my foot down, and the last straw was when I parked it with its side stand resting on some soft ground.
It took two of us to 'dig' the swine out!

Roy.

Yep.. My Son is thinking of downsizing his Kwaka..

Even he's not as young as he used to be!
He would never listen when I told him one day, it will happen to you!

John :)

Like my lad, if he can't take it with him he ain't going!

My daughter is taking her second bike test next week. Hopefully she'll pass and will be looking for a suitable girlie bike. In conversation with one of the mods at West Dean a Honda 600CBF has been suggested which she seems quite keen on - Rob

Steve,

As Tony says there are quite a few of us in the area.
Most of us live in the rougher parts not like posh Uppingham at all.

good luck in your venture
