Just having browse through the Axminster site, there's a new p/t which is the big brother of the 106 model. This one seems to be about the same price as the JET260 but with a bigger cutting capacity

...and if Wizer's in the mood for another tablesaur, cast your peepers over this  - Rob

What? the link doesn't work anymore...

Ed - that saw has been removed from the Axminster site in the last 30 minutes. It was a Rojek panel saw with with £583 off (if memory serves)...bargin of the decade - Rob

What was the price then Rob, with the discount?

Interesting. I was wondering how long it would be before we had a direct competitor to the Record Power PT300 (the Jet machines are dearer as well). Actually, I think Xcalibur do a 12in. P/T as well.

First thing I noticed was "Efficient Dust Extraction" listed as one of the main features! :D  [For the benefit of anyone who doesn't know, that's not quite the case with the 10in. model!]

Mark - if memory serves again, off the top of me bonce, it was about £580ish...so half price. It was a full-on Rojek smaller panel saw with 10"doc and a decent looking slider. As always though, with these sorts of saws, it would have taken up a hell of a lot of space in a smaller 'shop. What a bargin though...couldn't believe it when I saw it - Rob

10 inch blade surely. 10 inch depth of cut would be about a 500mm blade - thats a sawmill, not a table saw!

The link you put up was actually for the sliding table attachment for the saw - the saw itself is still for sale. Just its almost £2K, so no budget competitor.
Cheers
Philly :D

OK...thanks for that Philly  , thought it looked too good to be true (must pay more attention to the small print) - Rob
