Perusing a well known auction site, I see that Narex make turning tools and SDS wood chisels. Has anyone experience of either of these?

Bump - no opinions? I can't really see the point of small SDS wood chisels? Large ones, maybe.

I bought a 15mm Narex mortice chisel from Matthew recently for the joints on 2 oak framed gates. It did the job very well.

I don't doubt the quality, just the purpose (in the case of the SDS). I'd certainly give the turning tools a go - if I didn't have a couple of dozen too many already. I just wondered if anyone had actually used then.

I have seen some narex turning tools and they looked cheap. However they may still have good steel in them.....or may not.....

I've used SDS chisels for chopping out quick and dirty mortices on some huge beams before to take tusked tenons. Trimming joists around chimney breasts I seem to recall. It was all non-visible work and went extremely fast (but extremely non-pretty!!)
