The sole/body is of cast iron. The frog/superstructure is aluminium alloy.

I've often thought there looks to be some Narex DNA in the LV standard bench planes, in the same I can see DNA of the plastic handled Record plough in LV's plough.

You're right about the plow. I think they said somewhere that the record plane was the influence. Not that they needed to confirm that.

The thing I notice on the Narex is how it appears the frog moves back and forth, looks similar to LV. Nothing wrong in that at all, good idea to take something and try to improve it.
