Naphtha-based wood dye

Naive question perhaps but can finishing oil or wax be put on top of a naphtha dye? Logic says it shouldn't be a problem but any experience out there? Thanks. :?

We tend to only recommend shellac based products above our Naphtha stains, you may experience some bleeding taking place if you apply Finishing oil. You'd be safer with a water stain under finishing oil or wax.

never use like based finishes on top of stains as Ian said - bleeding will occur at best, and pull out at worst.
I use Naptha oils brushed on heavily, let it soak and then wipe off and throw the rags in a steel bin with a lid.

I then seal the colour with a thinned coat of sanding sealer shellac, de- nib this the following day and then use the relevent finish for the part thereafter.
