Ok, for the avoidance of doubt, I know what it is, already had a mate advise me it’s a wrench ;-) but that’s as far as he got.

Howeverr it’s the measurement markings along the length that’s got me puzzled, recorded differently on either side. What reason and for what use. Maybe just a marketing ploy, but given its age, I assume this had a specific application.

It’s size is also a little strange - 11/16” and 1.1/16”, so makes me think it must have been for something specific.

Any ideas?

Welding gas spanner. Oxy acetylene i think.

Measure will be for some random think like torch tip length. Not normal but hay, why not.
