Myford ml8

Hi all

Does anyone know what material the packing pieces were made of that were originally between the ml8’s headstock and cabinet? And what thickness they were?!
I’m guessing that most, like mine, have disappeared over the years.
Also - did the motor mounting just bolt straight to the underside of the cabinet or were there any rubber washes or cushioning between the two?

I’m restoring one at the moment and want to get it close to factory to try and get it as smooth running as possible.

Motor bracket bolted directly with no cushioning.
