Just a quick 'heads up' to say i'll be posting for sale later in the week a Myford ML8 lathe with (i think) all the attachments and a Burnard(?) 3 jaw chuck. Looks like it's got the original manual too, plus some other papers.

It's mounted on a wooden base/cabinet complete with a wooden lid.... a bit like an over grown sewing machine....

It belongs to a friend of the family who sadly is now too old to continue.

I'll post some pics as soon as i can (in the For Sale section of course)......

Nick

edit.... oh, and some chisels too.... :p

Just before i post in the for sale section, can any one help out with what certain bits are for please.....

the large yellow wheel fits the 'inboard' side of the lathe, screws on the head, but whats it for? Did wonder if its a sanding attachment of some kind..?
And the flat table you can see at the rear of the photo (just put there to take the pic) whats that for..? I did wonder if it might be something to do with the big wheel..? i.e. part of the sanding attachment maybe..?

and any ideas as to make of these chisels please...?

they look like Crown or Henry Taylor style (as in the dark handles) but there are no makers markings on them that i can see anywhere....

As always guys....... thanks in advance... :)

The first item assuming it fits on the head spindle looks like a version of one of THESE

The second items I think you are correct that they are a sanding wheel and the platform that goes with it.
