My uncle Tom is clever little dickie. Nick featured one of his projects in BW a while back, he had made, from scratch, a copy of a jewellery box featured a few issues earlier.
Since then he's started to make clocks. This is a David Bryant project:
And this is a skeleton clock in brass, mahogany and perspex:
No CNC, all done by hand on a lathe and milling machine in his garage.
I hope I'm still producing stuff as good as that when I'm pushing 90.
