I want made next pencil block for pen turning... but for mistake mix to much resin.
So add some colors and made buttons my new mold... But still I have too much resin.
So old boxes, those was for throwing out. So new project to made. 2 days later and resin is still too soft for sanding.
The in me makes me think of the fun I could have watching my youngest grandson trying to work out how to open up that Ohh so tempting pack of Colouring in pencils on grandads table
Pen pencil block. Semi transparent space between pencils is like 1,5mm I have problem because shims stuck between pencils and I need use thin knife to remove them.... It was painful job. Now those are cut to pen blanks... but I dont have circular saw so I use mitre saw ant some of block dont even.
Why don't people make spaces? I saw tons of YT videos and there were no gaps between pencils. It is a terrible regret because the crayon is painted on the sides. It is a pity that this cannot be seen in other works.
One of the reasons for gluing the pencils together is that it is easier. Another is that the pen tube is fully hidden. In your blank you will need to drill a clean hole and then paint it to hide the glue and brass. Brass and smudgy glue take away from the nice blank. Your take on the blank is nice and has lots of potential.
