Woods are beech and wengè.

Very nice indeed - how is the nicker iron held in place? And what did you use for the metal?

Cheerio,

Carl

That's a really tidy job showing great skill.
Extra points for the difficulty of the skew.
I like the carved wooden depth stop!

Thanks for appreciating my job!

The nicker is tapered along its length and on both sides, so it is auto-wedged in place

Speechless,
I would love to see progression photos if you have any?

Keep up the good work.
TT

I have some WIP pics but I want first to use them for a submission of an article about this plane.
However ask me for any question

Ciao
Giuliano

A very good looking plane - well done. Please tell us about the blade - is it new or old and where did it come from?

Very, very nice.
I look forward to hearing more about it.
Having seen some other examples of your work, I can only conclude you are very talented.
Thanks for sharing.
All the best.
Adam.

The blade has been cut from a larger one (new old stock) I had. I used an angle grinder for this job, then I shaped it to bench grinder. Here before cutting
