this is my first successful attempt at turning a poly resin/wood combination pen. I bought it from a chap some time ago, but never had the confidence to turn it, well now i have, and here it is.
Great mix of wood and PR, the colours are great, just need a good photo.

thanks for looking..

That is something I have never tried. T be honest pens look far more difficult to me than goblets & bowls and things. Is the wood/resin mixed up? In the photo it looks as though ot's resin with wood and colouring in it. Looks godd whatever

Hi Steve, that is one beautiful piece of work/pen. You make me think I should move on from the standard 7mm pen kits.

Is that a bought in blank, or did you make it up yourself?

the blank is from a chap in the USA who makes them, but i bought it from a fellow penmaker over here, i must admit, it took me 2 hours to turn it down to what you see here, you have to go light and steady on this stuff, chips very easily, but better when you have it round. I think you will enjoy moving on to the next kit , the cigar is much bigger and far easier to make, just remember to get the bushings the right way around though.

the wood was added to the polyresin in the blank when it was being made, the combination of the two looks great, and the picture does not do it justice.

many thanks for the lovely comments, i appreciate it..
