Chris,

Looks like loads of fun! 8)
I had a wood burner the same as that in the front room of the last house I had. :)
But there is one picture missing, where is the finished piece?

Chris

Looks like a good days turning

I always like to see a floor covered in shavings

Love the engine crane for lifting the " BOWL BLANK " in position

Will you post a photo of the finished article ?

Glad you had a good day Chris :D
Was the day used to learn how to use the Munro tool :?: plus other things of course.
Good piccys Sue,that woodburner looks cosy, and nice looking shop Mark :D

Well done Chris, guess there might be a slight yearning for a bigger lathe now that you have been at such close quarters to big Blue, (somewhat better build than your experience I gather) and her companions.

Don't know about the lift for the blanks, from what I saw on a short visit some of Marks tools look as though they would need the benefit from a day or two in the gym to be able to heft then around with ease.

Good for you Chris,
I think it's great when forum members get together for practical experience.
It's a terrific way of learning and gaining knowledge,
there is so much still to learn.

Chris

Thank you for the comments. It was a pleasure and I was knackered as well by the end of the day - only just surfaced

Pete, it is a great workshop but the problem with having such a space is the clearing up, accumulating too much kit and too much timber. I've been meaning to sort that pile of timber for months
