Well as my wife took my daughter shopping today James my youngest came to the workshop for the day today - He has his own bench and tools but busily got on as he wanted to make a small table for his bedroom.
Having claimed a set of four pre-turned legs from my wood store he set about cutting them to length with his hand mitre saw before morticing them.
and after cutting down a few offcuts of ash on the bandsaw busied himself planing them up
before making the tenons using the bandsaw.
After gluing up and pinning joints so he didn't have to leave it in the clamps he scurried off to the woodstore returning shortly after with an off cut piece of iroko just the right size for the top - this was soom thicknessed, edged and hey presto
James had a table - and mighty proud of it he is too!
As for me - I think I just got in his way as he busied himself - he even cleaned up at the end of the day!
